About Red Sky Bookkeeping

Red Sky Bookkeeping UK Limited was set up in June 2008 by Susan Lang following demand for bookkeeping services within S M Consultancy Services. SMCS offer Sage training and business consultancy and Susan found that a great number of clients required a cost effective solution to their bookkeeping requirements.

Institute of Certified Bookkeepers

Red Sky is a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. The Institute is committed, not only to setting the standards for bookkeeping and helping individuals to achieve formal qualifications, but also to maintaining those standards and continuing to provide members with full support once they have qualified. We are full Members of the ICB and have a current practicing certificate.

The Institute has been appointed by HM Treasury as a Supervisory Body under the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 this means that Red Sky Bookkeeping UK Limited also comply with the new Money Laundering Regulations.

Under the latest extension to the legislation, bookkeeping is listed as a regulated profession, which means that bookkeepers must be supervised to ensure that they remain compliant.

Susan Lang MIBC – Managing Director Susan has a vast amount of experience in the accounting services industry and set up Red Sky Bookkeeping in June 2008 due to the demand for bookkeeping services within S M Consultancy Services. Through S M C S Susan offers accounting software training and business consultancy advice and found many clients in need of a cost effective solution to bookkeeping requirements. Susan has an Accountancy and Finance Degree from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh
